Black Pink’s ‘Kill This Love’ MV surpassed 800 million views on YouTube on April 20th.
YG Entertainment(of Black Pink) released the celebration through the official Blog and SNS.
Black Pink became the first in Kpop history to have more than 800 million views of MVs, including ‘Kill This Love’, ‘DDU DDU DU DU’, which achieved 1.1 billion views, and ‘Boom Ba Ya’, which is heading for 900 million views.
‘Kill This Love’ MV got hot attention when it was released on April 5, breaking 100 million views in 63 hours.
Black Pink became ‘the only Kpop’ on the MV TOP10, that was the most seen in the world in 2019, released by YouTube.
MV captivated fans around the world with Black Pink’s powerful dance and sophisticated visual beauty.
Addictive point choreography is impressive, especially with the motion of shooting a long gun.
Booming not only in Asia but also around the world, including North America and Europe, Black Pink won the top spot of “The World’s Most Covered Songs” that year.
It was the most covered Kpop song for the second consecutive year following ‘DDU DDU DU’.
Black Pink’s power can be seen not only in music videos but also in domestic and overseas music charts.
‘Kill This Love’ has made the first and best K-pop girl group record by entering the U.S. Billboard main single chart Hot 100 and Billboard 200 at 41st and 24th respectively.
In the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100, Black Pink reached number 33 and broke the K-pop girl group record.
In addition, it also topped the domestic music charts and album charts.
