Mamamoo is getting popularity with a new song ‘Hip’.
According to the US Billboard, ‘Hip’ reached the first place on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart this week and has been on the chart for two consecutive weeks.
The ranking has risen to No. 1 from No. 5 last week. It indicates that the band is getting higher popularity as time passes not only in Korea but also in foreign countries.
Meanwhile, the second regular album of Mamamoo, ‘Reality in BLACK’, ranked 13th on the Billboard World Album chart as it still has been on the higher part of the same chart for two consecutive week. It also shows that Mamamoo is increasing its popularity on the global stage as well.
In addition, the group also has been seen on the music charts of Japan and Taiwan.
Mamamoo’s ‘HIP’ took the 3rd place in the K-pop category on Japan’s largest streaming site, “RekoChoku” as taking the 1st place in the Japanese iTunes K-POP chart on the 27th and the 22nd place in the line music TOP100 chart.
Also, ‘HIP’ reached the 2nd place on the Korean New Single Weekly Chart of Taiwan’s largest online music site, KKBOX, while the group takes the lead in the K-pop fever on the globe.
