BTS also topped the album charts in Japan.
According to the ranking chart released by ORICON on February 25th, BTS’ fourth album “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7”, released worldwide on the 21st, topped the ORICON daily album chart on the 24th with a total sales of 227,204 albums.
Currently BTS is dominating major music charts around the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, China and Japan, starting in Korea shortly after the release of the album.
‘MAP OF THE SOUL: 7’ has been #1 Rank in major music sites in Korea, and has sold more than 330,000 albums of China’s NetEase Cloud Music digital albums in just six hours, topping 91 countries and regional ITunes top albums worldwide, and more than 2.65 million albums on the day of release.
On February 24th, Billboard and Official Chart reported an article in the prospect that the album will surpass the previous performance and win the Billboard200 Chart and Official Album Chart Top100 at the same time.
The title song “ON” is a hip-hop song full of BTS’s powerful energy and authenticity, which spends seven years after its debut and is a song about calling and mindfulness as an artist.
BTS will appear on “Carpool Karaoke,” of “The Late Late Show with James Corden” in CBS on Saturday.
