BTS and Coldplay’s collaboration single “My Universe” enters the Hot 100 at No. 1!

On October 4 local time, Billboard revealed that BTS and Coldplay’s new collaboration debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100 (the weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the United States) chart dated October 9, 2021. “My Universe” came in at the top with 11.5 million streams in the United States, 5.5 million radio airplay audience impressions, and 127,000 downloads and physical singles combined.

Released on September 24, “My Universe” is now BTS’s sixth song to top the Hot 100, following “Dynamite,” “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)” with Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo, “Life Goes On,” “Butter,” and “Permission to Dance.” The group has achieved six No. 1s in a year and just over one month, making them the second fastest to do so after The Beatles’ record of one year and two weeks in 1964-1966.
